Raku ceramic piglet
Raku is a technique of Japanese origin that uses all the elements of nature: earth, air, fire and water.
The object is modeled by hand with a semi-refractory white clay that resists temperature changes up to 980°. After the first firing it is decorated with enamels and crystals and fired a second time in a gas oven up to around 1000°. Once it has reached this temperature it is removed from the incandescent oven and placed in metal containers containing straw or leaves and then in water. to cool it quickly.
NOTE. Each piece is handmade from scratch and differs slightly from the one in the photo in shape and color, guaranteeing the originality of the product.
